weekly wrap-up 5/10: mother’s day madness!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY ♥! This morning I’m joining thousands of others for Pittsburgh’s Race for the Cure, a tradition in my family; the ladies do the race while the men stay behind to cook brunch and take care of the babies. :)

Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth
Bitter Greens will be out in softcover soon and Thomas Dunne Books was kind enough to send me a copy! I had received a hardback last year and reviewed it back in October – a Rapunzel retelling at its finest! Historical fiction (the court of the Sun King!) multiple POVs, and a fairy tale retelling: Bitter Greens was a novel written for me and I highly recommend it! (Thank you, Thomas Dunner Books!!)

In Case You Missed It
Exquisite Corpse is Penelope Bagieu’s delightfully charming graphic novel about a young women going nowhere fast and a reclusive author who faked his death to boost sales. There’s also Paris and a sassy cat named Gatsby.

Hannah Dennison’s Honeychurch Hall mystery series is an absolute JOY and I’m kicking myself a little for waiting so long to read the first book. The sequel came out this week and is definitely worth a mini-binge! An English country estate, a dead body or two, a trove of dark family secrets, and the women who stumbles upon them all. Love!
