In case you missed it
It’s fitting that a slow StS should follow a slow week at the blog. I only managed to get two reviews up this week. Pies & Prejudice is the first in a new cozy series, A Charmed Pie Shoppe. If you enjoy mysteries, pie, and a hint of the supernatural, this book is for you.
Yesterday I reviewed The Corpse-Rat King, a dark fantasy novel. Although the premise was fantastic (professional thief is mistaken for a dead king while looting a battlefield, is transported to the Kingdom of the Dead, and then sent back to the surface in order to find the dead a new king), plot holes and inconsistencies made this book a letdown.
The Oracle Glass looks interesting!
Doesn’t it?? I’m hoping it’ll be as good as it sounds!
